I have been photographing couples since I became a photographer and couples are my favorite subject. I love, LOVE and I love capturing it.
This service is only available on special requests, continue to the bottom to reach out about availability.
My goal is to make you feel as comfortable, confident and relaxed as possible. Even if you don’t generally feel photogenic my goal is for you to feel at ease and able to express your love and chemistry for one another while I capture it. You may be relieved to know that I am not a fan of zany cheesy poses! I aim to stick with classic romantic poses that are flattering for anyone. I try to imagine a beautiful postcard image and then pop you and your loved one into it! Sometimes I will put you in a pose and then let you wriggle out of it until it feels natural to you, often that’s when the best moments happen.
For our photo shoot location the possibilities are endless here in NYC. We can capture your photographs in one of our beautiful parks like Central Park, which provides a timeless romantic backdrop with lots of variety of backgrounds. We can capture the natural beauty of the park, with it’s old world architecture, flowers and trees, as well as street scenes on the perimeter of the park where we can capture the buildings and taxis that give NYC it’s signature energy and spirit.
New York City’s waterfronts offer some of the best views of the iconic skyline. I love the waterfronts during the warmer and more temperate months, in the winter months it is a bit too chilly to comfortably shoot there.
My favorite times to photograph couples are during the week at golden hour (pre-sunset) or on the weekends in the late morning. These are the times I find the lighting to be most beautiful and the city to be the quietest.
Every season in NYC offers it’s own charm. I love the spring season for the tulips and cherry blossoms, pink and green tones. I love the summer for the opportunity for lighter dresses and linen shorts and the lush green leaved trees. The autumn season offers the most beautiful colors and the chance to dress with light layers while still being moderately temperate. The winter is chilly but the holiday season offers magic and sparkle with the backdrops of the Rockefeller center Christmas tree and the city dazzling and ornamented in lights, tinsel, color and sometimes…snow!
There is always a good reason to do a couples shoot whether it’s to, celebrate a recent engagement (and have photos to use for save the dates, guest books and sign ins at your wedding), celebrating an anniversary or just to showcase and celebrate your love in an incredible city like NYC. Whatever the reason, I would be honored to celebrate and capture your love for each other in timeless photographs that I hope you cherish for years to come!
– Ash Fox
“Ash is a gem of person – she was easy to coordinate and communicate with, helped w the logistics of the event and even helped me secure a videographer and a violinist for the event. All in all, our special night would not have happened without Ash’s help and hard work … I’d recommend her to anyone”
“When I reached out to Ash, from the very first day we spoke she was AMAZING! From her ideas to our follow up conversations leading on to the special day she was exactly what I was looking for. My fiancé loved Ash, from her professionalism to her easy going attitude! When we received our pictures, only one word…. PERFECTION! I would recommend Ash for your special event hands down! “
“Ash was amazing to deal with. From Start to Finish! I planned a NYC engagement all the way from Alberta, Canada. She literally walked me through and advised me every step of the way. She helped me with what to say, how to actually do the proposal itself, she accurately predicted how my fiancé would react and what she would do once I popped the question! What an amazing resource she was for this process. And, this is all above and beyond the pictures she took!
The pictures, too, were perfect! She was super professional, prompt, trustworthy and delivered on all commitments. I am very grateful that I found her”
