In Lindsay’s words!

Matt & I had been together since meeting on an Oil Rig in the North Sea in Dec 2012. we both worked for the same company, me in HR & Matt as a technician offshore.

We both love to travel, NY being one of my favorite places (I’ve been 8 times) after visiting as a child (family in NJ)

After I had surgery in November 2015, Matt told me he’d like us to get married & thought we should go looking for rings when we went on our next trip to Chicago & New York the following month. So although the proposal was coming I didn’t know where or when it would take place.

We chose a ring on our first day in NY @ Peter Germano & Matt told me he’d planned a full day for us on the 16th of December. I’m usually the tour guide when we visit NY so I wasn’t sure where we would be going but he did great.

He chose Bryant Park for our proposal which is the first place we went during our first trip to the city together. Then onto Rockerfeller for photos

Then afterwards we went for frozen hot chocolate and wandered around Central Park. That evening we celebrated at a rooftop bar overlooking our favourite city.
